The creation of trout street wines is the realization of a dream.
This dream took root in my Grandfather’s love of food and wine. Gaetoni Foli, an immigrant from a small village in northern Italy, owned his own market, tilled his garden, and made his own wine.
Each fall, the grapes arrived by train from California. It was important for him to be there to select the grapes that would enrich that year’s vintage. He drove them home in the back of his truck with an excitement I now understand. My Grandfather lived on Trout Street, and there, in his basement, he created the wine that celebrated our family.
My wine is named “trout street” to honor this passion of my Grandfather. I am proud to begin again, the family tradition of winemaking.
